How to Search and Claim Your Property

Step 1: Search and Select Property

Visit the Alberta Search for Lost Property and Money website. You'll be redirected to MissingMoney.com for results.

Step 2: Complete Online Claim Form

Fill out the required information in the online claim form.

Step 3: Submit Supporting Documents

Provide documentation to prove ownership either online or by mail to TRA.

Claim Processing Information

Review Time: Up to 120 days for initial review

Claim Confirmation: You'll receive a claim submission number upon submission

Time Limit: Claims must be submitted within 10 years from the date TRA received the property

Important Information

There is no charge to submit a claim, though you may be responsible for certain administrative fees

If your claim is denied, you can file Form AT4954 – Notice of Objection
